  2. Now to the Public I will state
    a subject of importance great,
    In languages plain exempt of lies,
    A buck I mean to advertise.
    Though poets are noted for the fiction,
    I will give sincere descriptions
    Of this superior quadruped.
    That has of late as much reputed
    By good authority I am told.
    He is, three years and six months old
    And for to thrive he always did
    Since he was but a little kid
    He's sturdy, sandy, tight and strong
    Besides he's stately, tall and long.
    Immautre prime he does appear
    And full as nimble as a deer
    His horns now to represent
    Are like the wattles of a tent
