    Answer: Two.
    As I went to the fair of St Ives
    I met a man with seven wives
    Every wife had a bag and in the bag was a cat
    Every cat had nine kittens
    Cats, kittens, bags and wives
    How many went to the fair of St Ives?
    Answer: One.
    Black and white went up the hill
    Black came down and white stood still.
    Answer: An egg.
    I've got legs but I seldom walk.
    I backbite everyone and never talk.
    Answer: A flea.
    Two ends in and the middle out.
    Answer: A sgallop (for thatch)
