    very old man. He is a great Irish speaker. It is said he can walk quicker to Ballymote than any one in the townland. All the houses are slated except two. These two are thatched. About fifteen year ago there were no slated houses in the townland. there are about thirty-six people living in it. There is a little river flowing through Martain Hyne's land. It flows into another river dividing Knocknaska bog and Kilshalvey.
