  1. In my grandfathers time there were dancing schools held in barns and unoccupied houses. With the dancing master there was always a fiddler.
    They always had step dancing reels jigs - all Irish dances - no English or foreign dances were allowed.
    The pupils kept in turn the dancing aster and the fiddler in their home.
