  1. Origin of the arch in Kearneys farm
    About a centuary and a half ago there lived in Peter Kearneys farm Twiches. They were supposed to be Protestant because Twiches is a Protestant name. These people had all daughters and people used to come and steal away the daughters and if any one was caught around there, they would be fined a large sum of money. They had to build a big wall all round it so that any one could not get in to it and a big gate laying in the overarching. The ruins of this
