  1. There is a very old Abbey in Ballintubber. It was built by Gubanpaor long ago. It was first a chapel. And Sean a Sagart is buired out side it. There are many priests buired under the floor of the Abbey. And long ago the roof was taken off it by the English. and it was left that way along time till Father O Hara came to Ballintubber and he got half the roof on it. and now mass is said in it every morning. Long ago three hundred monks lived in that abbey. It is the oldest Abbey in the countery
