  1. A rain storm.
    About thirty two years ago, in the month of September a great thunder storm arose, and after some time it turned in to a rain storm.
    It rained very heavy so that there was a big flood in the river. It flooded the fields that was near the river. It broke the fence that was on a field of Thady Hastings. It flooded all that field and carried away the hay and corn to the end of the field. It brought the gable of one of the stables.
