    There was an old bochán built by the people,for their children to go to school in a field called Garraidh Paitín. Garraidh Paitín was in the townsland of Thawnaslinneaun. A teacher called Richard Bratch taught in that bothán. Richard Bratch came from a place called Cartúar. He used to teach inside in the bothán.He had a fire inside which the scholars provided for him.The teacher was paid by getting a shilling
