Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The sun was sinking in a sea of glory
When the cars were sighted and din and roar
Of the incensed mob was heard quite clearly
And the horses’ hoof beats coming round the shore
The papists gathered their ammunition
And met the orange boys at Storm hill
They fired one volley of stones and bottles
And hurled some curses at old King Bill
But the orange brethren had guns and pistols
And fired some shots with right good will
But the hands were shaky and somewhat quakey
And they failed as yet papist blood to spill
But lead is deadly if poured steadily
And even an Orangeman might make a hit
So we kept intact and moved steadily back
As we deemed it wiser to retreat a bit
Then we found some cover and around did hover
To watch the doings of the orange crew
They thought us quailed as we quietly waited
And decided they’d play us a tune or two(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
