- The landlord of this locality died some years ago. He name was Lord Clonbrock. This is how he got Clonbrock. There lived in Clonbrock a Catholic family by the name of O Kelly. When the Cromwellians came they were evicted and a family by the name of Dillon were given it, because they were Protestants. When Mrs Kelly was leaving Clonbrock she knelt down and cursed it.
