    dance-pit. It is so called because long, long ago the boys and girls of the neighbouring district gathered together there and held a dance. All the music they had was a poor old fiddler who went about from place to place playing music.
    There is a field belonging to Patrick Colreavy of Annaghmore called the bleach. Long ago when the people spun their own flax and wove their own linen the linen was put out there to bleach.
    There is also another field belonging to Patrick Colreavy called the Summer House field. There is a fort beside it and it is believed that there was a Summer House there also.
    Denis Colreavy has a field called the Spring-well. It is so called because of a spring well that is in it.
    There is a field at our house called the móinín meaning a little meadow.
