- There is a treasure hid in Creavy. It was placed there by a man named Conncleavy. He was very rich but he was a miser and had plenty of big fat cattle and sold them at the fair and got plenty of gold sovereigns for them. He always wore big long boots up to his his knees. He had a son in Australia who never came home. When Conncreavy was dying he put all his gold in one of his long boots and buried it somepl[ace?] opposite the hall door.He wrote to his son in Australia and told him the exact place where the gold was buried and told him come home and dig and he would get it. His son started for home. When he was on board, he took fever and he was thrown aboard the ship. He still had the note(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
