"Well" said the old man, "did you see any thing".
"I did not see much. There is an old ruin outside there, and it surprised me. There did a crowd get out of it and fell at playing goal. I had always great taste for goaling, and I took the hurley from one of them, and played". And so he told him the whole story. "The only surprise I got" said he "is that a body came to me without its head, and asked me for his head. It is true that 'twas his head I had".
He got entertainment, and a very good supper from the old man. After supper he sat by the fire and dozed asleep. The old man came behind him and caught him by the shoulders, and made a roar at him. "Well now" said the old man "were you made afraid".
"Indeed I was" said he.
"Go back now" said the old man.
He then got some place to lie down and fell asleep and when he awoke in the morning he could see no trace of a house. It is supposed that it was the old gentleman who came in his way and put all those things before him. He came back to the gentleman's house and got married to his sister and they lived happily for ever after.- Bailitheoir
