- 2. Peggy Quinlan of Thursillagh, Rathanny says that there is a fairy fort in Thursillagh and another at Kielduff and still another at Ballincullig. These forts are in view of each other. Each of them is circular in shape and two of them are surrounded by a fence of trees and around the other is a large dyke. To get into these forts, there is a gap or steps. It is said by the old people that it is wrong to interfere with forts. The Danes were supposed to live in these forts. Lights were seen and music heard up to 20 years ago.
