- My Home District
I live in the townland of Knocknamana in the parish of Tracton in the Barony of Kinealea. There are twelve families in the townland. There are forty people in the townland. Most people are living in slated houses. Knocknamana means the Hill of the Monks. Long ago the monks owned the land around here and was called after them. Long ago houses were more numerous. The land is very rich. There are only a few bogs in the townland. There are no lakes in the townland.
