- In the townsland of Cronovone in the Parish of Borrisoleigh in the Co, Tippeary, it is said that a woman was seen in Cronovone at twelve o' clock walking up along the Cronovone road. Many people seen this woman on the road-side at twelve o' clock in the night. This woman used in Cronovone long long ago. She used not go near anyone. It is said she was a witch long ago But when she would see anyone coming near her on the road she would go up to the and she would stand before them. All the people were afraid to go out at night. Because they thought they would meet her. But they found out she would not go near anyone they to go out.
