Ar an leathanach seo

    is in the townland of Saltmills. The natives interpret Ballinagriske to mean Cranestown, but more probably it would mean "the town by the waters", or the apellation of Cranes might be given to its inhabitants on account of their living by the water and following maratime pursuits.
    Some of the ruins of Port St. Mary are still to be seen and the ancient road that led from there by the river to the old castle of Dunbrody is still traceable though the fences at both sides of the road is mostly levelled it is still used as a car-track through the abbey lands.
