  2. Soap-Making in Olden Times

    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    Long ago the people used to gather ferns and save them like hay. Then they used to burn them and mix the ashes with water and make little cakes out of them. Then they put little holes in the centre and hung them up on a string. This they used in the same manner and for the same purpose as we use soap now.
