    Your diet shall be dressed in rotation
    The best that the house can afford
    And the longer with me you're acquainted
    The better you'll like me I know
    She showed me the meadow next morning
    And told me to cut it quite low
    And as soon as I entered the corner
    She said I was cutting too slow
    So I done my endeavours to plaze her
    As I being so far from my home
    And she said if I worked for her faithfully
    She'd soon make the farm me own
    I saved all her hay from the storm
    I thrashed both her wheat and her oats
    And then I demanded my wages
    And said I was going for the road
    She said do not go and forsake me
    And leave me in Grief all alone
    I'll keep you from going through hard labour
    And sweet Bansha on you I'll bestow
