  1. The names of the local roads are Irishtown road, Ballindine road Ballyhaunis and Milltown road. They all meet in Irishtown. All these are in use at present. The people were employed in the making of these roads during the famine. I don't know the wages they get. Long ago they used to play hurley in Dunmacreena. They used to have dancing also.
