- There is a blessed well near Old Head. It is called St. Fursa's well. The people have not gone to the well for the past twelve years. They go usually on the thirteenth of July. They can go any way they like to go. The story of the well is:-
There was an old man once who had his sight lost for a long time. He went to the well and he was cured. St. Fursa is the saint of this well. There were two women cured of rheumatism. The well cures blindness and deafness also. People take a drink of water every day out of it. This is how they use it for cures: They go around the well three times and they keep praying and then they get cured. People bring home a bottle of water with(continues on next page)- Collector
