There are two old people living in my townland about seventy years of age. I do not know whether they can speak Irish or not but they can tell stories in English. Their names are, Mr. Patrick Gillespie, Cloontakillew, Knockanillaun, Ballina, and Mr. Michael Egan of the same placeHouses are more numerous locally in former times. There are four houses in ruins in my townland. They belonged to Mr. John Hynes Mr. Con Healy Mr. Patrick Brown, and Mr. Thomas Munnelly Three of those families were evicted and the other man was changed to a new house Mr. John Hynes went to England I do not know of any song or saying in which my townland is mentioned.(continues on next page)
