    Michael MacHales land on the hill known as Cnon naNDaoine. Anthony Kilbride, nicknamed "Tony More" wanted the fair near his own place. One fair day he got some of the people to fight and to beat and batter the cattle until they drove them to a field which was beside the lake and is now owned by Mrs Judge. It was a terrible day of bloodshed.
    Tony More Kilbride owned the fair-green and took the custom. Mickey Ruane was head of the gang that helped Tony More to change the fair-green and for doing so Tony More gave him the custom of two of the fairs each year.
