- There were a few tailors around here long ago but there is only one here now. He does no work now because all clothes are made in factories. There is another man around here who knits stockings and jumpers. He gets the thread in the village or in Youghal. The old people used to spin thread long ago but it is not done now. There is no spinning wheel around here now. Long ago when a man was getting a suit the tailor used to go with him to chose the material and trimmings. When a man is buying the cloth he has to buy trimmings. There are three different kinds of trimmings.
