- The people used to play football around here long ago. The way they used to play was that one team would play another from one town to the other. The ball they had was a stocking which was stuffed with hay. There were fifteen men in each side. There was a team in Clashmore and they played two teams together. They had nothing on them but a jersey and a tight and their boots. It is often they fell and got hurt when they would fall on the road.
