- I live in Coolbagh in the parish of Clashmore in the county of Waterford. There were twice more people in Coolbagh long ago than they are now. There are a large number of houses in Coolbagh. Some are slated and more are thatched. There are a few old men up in Coolbagh over 70 years. They are able to talk Irish and tell Irish stories. It was called Coolbagh because there was a bailiff killed there long ago. It is also said that 'Cúl Beathach' which means the 'corner of the beeches' is the meaning of the name.
