- (continued from previous page)One time there was a tailor in Dunfanaghy who was very fond of rowing. One time there was a curragh race in Downings and he took the curragh over in a cart to compete. He was no good rowing so he did not win. He got drunk going home and someone had to drive the horse and cart home for him. He started rowing furiously with his arms thinking he was in the water. As he was passing an old woman going to the shop with a basket of eggs he gave his elbows a great heave. Accidently he hit the old woman's basket and for miles around the eggs were to be seen jumping in the air. From that day out "Ned the tailor" never went into a curragh(continues on next page)
