As a tailor is supposed to be the ninth of a man one day Queen Elizabeth met eight tailors and said "Good-morrow gentlemen, both" - There are about six tailors in this parish at present. Some of them work in Creeslough others about Dunfanaghy. Nearly all of them work at home. The tailors all keep cloth in the house for sale and sell it at different prices. It is nearly all shop material. There is no one about here who wears homespun suits. A tailor has a machine for sewing, needles, spools, tape for measuring. Nearly all the people knit stockings and also men's socks, they get the wool in shops. there are a lot(continues on next page)
