  2. The Stuarts were Landlords in Ards for about 200 years, there were also Landlords in Horn Head of the same name. The Olparts were in (Falcall) Fallcarragh. Some of the people looked up to the Landlords and were always bowing to them. It was during the reign of these Landlords that the lands were divided in Ards. People with no land did not get a farm but the farms were given to people to make their farms bigger. There were some evictions in the Upper end of the parish and the evicted people nearly all went to America.
