   William Cochrane of Crislaghkeel thatched Miss Todd's house on rainy days, made ropes out of straw. They used them for keeping the thatch on the houses. There was a tanning yard at Bridgend. William McClelland of Tooban made cart wheels. Mick Longwell of the station used to fish for flounders. Tom McClelland made ploughs.
   James Todd made gates and locks and fire cranes. Rose Kearney of Anneslea, Monreagh, used to spin and weave. Mr Boyd Bryce of Inch burns lime.
