  1. The first Landlord came to Fahan about three hundred years ago. He came from England with Wentworth Earl of Stafford. His name was Braham. He was made Bishop of Derry and afterwards became Archbisop of Armagh. He started the building of Glengollan and lived there. When Cromwell came to Ireland he had to flee to France.
    The Bishops of Derry were the Landlords from 1634 untill 1833. The vicars of Fahan as well as some Bishops of Derry lived there. Fahan rectory was built when the Normans bought Glengollan. Mr. Thomas Norman was the first Landlord. His son
