The woman sewed shirts for the factory. There used to be a shirt factory at Glengollan. The woman spun flax into linen thread. They got a weaver to weaver it. The men wore shirts made of it. They also made tablecloths and and sheets of it. They used to spin woollen yarn, they then dyed it with Crottle or Litchen. They used to knit socks for their own use out of it.
