- The name of my townland is Rooskey. It is about a quarter of a mile from Clonmany village. It is in the barony of Innishowen. It got its name because the people never rose early in that district. It should be called "Dooskey" but was called "Rooskey" instead.Others say that there was a man who was locked in a room one fair day and he made a poem while he was in the room. One of the lines were:-"Tá mé mo chodlad is na duisigh mé."Dooskey it was called on account of that.There is no common name in Rooskey because there only lived a few families.
