    When they would be well seasoned they would dip them in grease and they would light according as they would want them.
    They used to light bogdeal also and they used to knit or sew by the fire with the light of it. They would have no other light but it. They used to get the bogdeal in the bog also and (they) there are lumps of it to be got through the turf nowadays. They would not burn it now as they have plenty of turf to burn.
