the miracles of Brendan and Ciaran.
The present Cathedral of Clonfert was founded by Peter O'Mordha, Bishop of Clonfert (1165-1170) and tho' of small dimensions is remarkable for its magnificent doorway the finest example of Irish Romanesque Architecture to be found in Ireland. It was just finished before the Curse of the Invasion fell on Ireland, and still proclaims after 900 years the genius and skill of Irish craftsmen of those days.
