Long ago in Manorhamilton in the year 1833 to Women were coming home from the fair. They had bought a sheep's wool to make red flannel petticoats and the were carving the wool as the were going home, One Woman said that she would sit up all night ti have it for Sunday morning to go to mass so at 12 o'clock the woman heard a knock on the door. She opened the door and in came a small old woman and sat down and began to spin. It was not very long until one heard another knock at the door so she she opened it and in came another Woman and she began to sew,(continues on next page)- Collector
