- There was once a very good Blacksmith and the reason he was so good was the devil had him bought and after four years he would come for him. One day Our Lord was passing the road and He went into the forge and the Blacksmith was shoeing a horse. Our Lord pulled a leg of the horse and put in the fire and shod it "What do you think of that Our Lord said to him." "It is fair said the Blaksmith". Then Our Lord did the same to the other three legs "What do you think of that He said to him." " It is fair said the Blacksmith." Then there was an old woman passing the road and Our Lord put her into the fire and took her out put her on the anvil and hammered her and She came out a young girl "What do you think of that Our Lord said to him." "It is fair said to the Blacksmith" Then the Blacksmith cut the four legs of the horse(continues on next page)
