   in. When John was ready to go the old man stretched out his hand to shake hands with him. The other man told John not to give the Dane his hand but to give him this little board instead because he has such nature for an Irishman that he would smash your hand with the dint of the squeeze - "bhrisfeadh sé do láimh le carthanas o' Éireannach. John now held out his hand with the board for the blind old Dane to shake. The old Dane said "is maith cruaidh an láimh atá ag Éireannach i g-comhaidh"
   They told him not to be excited when he would go into the cave. That there was a barrel of gold there at one end with a hound minding it. They told him that the hound could not touch him while he had the torch.
   John came back to his native Galway and went to the fort. He found the place just as the Danes described. He did as he was directed and he got into the cave. He went to the exact place he was told and found the razor. Then he did the same with the mouse.
   As soon as his ship was ready for Denmark again he went on board from Galway. As soon as his ship landed in Denmark he went to see the Danes. He gave them the razor and the mouse.
   The Danes shaved themselves with the razor and when they had shaved they looked to be about the age of twenty five or so. There was a gift in the razor
