    was finally doomed to disappointment and on his returning to resume his studies and class work was surprised to see himself greeted by the orderly in the hall as a very stranger. He does not know who the brother is who has charge of admitting visitors. That brother asks in the name of God who he is and from whence he came. "I am the brother professor of Theology and to my mind only twenty minutes absent down the garden walk" answered the astonished professor. The porter summons the abbot and all the brothers of the house. When they come they see this wonderful stranger with flowing while beard descending down his breast. In turn this stranger from the monastic garden walk knows no brother before him. The abbot asks his name
