    fence, the owl down on the ground and the lark, the crow and magpie on top of the trees, the cuckoo builds no nest, the faoileán and hawk in the cliff, snipe, curlew and crane in marshy land, tammy-blue and Willy-wag-tail in a stone fence, the gold-finch and linnets on furze bushes, wild duck and wild geese on the river side, darby and refogue build on the fence.
    As a rule the size of the eggs vary with the size of the bird. They sit on the eggs usually for three or four weeks. It is said that those who robs a bird's nest will be all scabs and perhaps get sore eyes.
