    Then they all run away and the witch follows them and cuts their throats. In summer I can amuse myself in playing those games, and in Autumn I be cracking nuts and picking blackberries. Football and hurling are played very often, but the other games not so much. In the long Winter nights the children amuse themselves by playing cards, and marbles. Girls play different games to boys.
