- There are a number of place names on my farm. "The Chapel Garden" is one of them. In olden times there was a chapel built in a garden and from that day to this that garden is called "the Chapel Garden. The name of the next field is "The Fair Green". In olden times a fair was held in that field every month. Cattle, sheep, pigs, hens and chickens were sold at it.
"The Fort Field" is the name of a field on my farm. It got its name from a fort that is in it.Nowadays there is a wall built around it. "The Castle Field" is the name of another field. In olden times an English soldier built a castle and one day while he was away it was burned.
"The Big Meadow" is the name of another field. It got its name from a big meadow field. "The Little Garden" is the name of another field on my farm. It is so called because it is a very small field.
