  1. On the twenty-first of November 1930 a burning broke out in the property of Mr. Francis MacDonnell, Ballyard. It is not certain whether sparks flew into the shed from the bailer or from the chimney.
    About four tons of hay were burned and also the shed. As it was insured the owner got two hundred pounds.
