    One day when the huntsmen and hounds were out hunting, they started a hare in the district, where the witch lived. One of the hounds just narrowly missed killing the hare, but took a little bit of its skin off. Then the hare escaped into the house, where the witch lived and the huntsmen followed it in. When they went in all they could see was the old witch and traces of blood on her. Then they knew that it was the witch they had been chasing as a hare. The huntsmen accused her of using her witch-craft and threatened to kill her, but she again turned into a hare and made a dash for the door. The hounds chased
