    Every two or three "táuheens" were put together to make what was called "a rock". These rocks were then sent to the "hacklers".
    They pulled out the "small or coarse fibre with the coarse hacklers.
    This made the coarse linen. The "long fine fibre or toe" was pulled with the fine hackles for the fine linen.
    Then it was brought home and "spun at home with the spinning wheel which was in every house at that time. "The hand reel wound" the spun
