    And I to him have grown more fervent and sincere.
    Where is the hand that used to pluck those flowers in full bloom
    And weave them in the silken curls of the maid of Magheracloone
    V. He cares not now to meet me on Sundays after mass
    He cares not now to watch my steps as homewards I do pass.
    Bominng home from his night's rambles you could hear his merry tune.
    Going whistling by the happy home of the maid of Magheracloone
    VI. He never will return again to view those sylvan shades.
    I'll never hear those tender words that first my heart betrayed
    He'll never meet his darling by the gas light or the moon
    Or press unto his bosom bright, the maid of Magheracloone
