- The landlord for this district was Lord Tennyson. In the year 1649 County Monaghan was planted by the English and tenants were put to live on it. They had to pay rent to the landlord and if they didn't pay it they were evicted. Tennyson was not a bad landlord because we never hear of any people he evicted.
