- About two miles north of Roslea is a town called Cromagh. It gets its name because it is full of hills. There are five families living in it. In the olden time there were thirty families living in it.The land is very good for raising crops and for grazing. There is an old lane running through it which is the oldest in Ulster. It runs from Derry to Dundalk and it is said that Cromwell and his army marched through it.

- Ternahinsh:-the island land. This is a big townland to the north of Clones, beginning about half a mile from the town. The land was mostly occupied by yeomen. The farms were small - nine or ten acres, and the rents(continues on next page)
