    The dance was at a house called McGinns. John McIvor of Drumbrain is also good at making songs. Edward Fitzpatrick of Carn was good at making songs. He made one about "The Boys from Carn Hill." Annie Woffer (sp?), Carn, was also a good poet. Fitzpatrick's song was:
    Young men I say and maidens gay
    Unite both on and all
    A Noble band of youths as grand
    their actions I recall
    Where is the muse that could refuse
    to guide my slender quill
    While I relate the praises great of the boys of Carn Hill.
    Those Aghabog Boys they fear no noise
    No matter where they go
    They crave neither help nor loan nor strength
    From either friend or foe
