  1. In the parish of Lisdowney Co. Kilkenny there was a thatched house which was owned by James Keane Ballyconra. One day while he was at the railway his daughter put a lighted fir up the chimney. The fire reached the roof and burned the whole house.

  2. In the parish of Lisdowney Co. Liex there are many fields which are owned by William Kenny Ballyhealy. They all have got various names such as the "Kiln field" the "Boisín" the "Coarse field" and the "School house field". The "Kiln field" gets its name from a kiln which is beside that field. In olden times the "Boisín" was a lane leading to a farm. The "Coarse field" gets
